exciting week
This week has been exciting. We have three new people helping us out who have been a great source of new energy. We have a planned-out afternoon camp that is going very well so far. Lots of progress has been made on the mural, and it looks like they will be doing a mural inside the church as well because we have lots more time for painting.

Here is Dave painting:

Here are Trina and Jacob painting:

And a picture of me! Finally! You can see that I am being good and reading my Bible.

Here are some pictures from crafts class:

Here are some of the guys showing off their fancy beadwork that they were very proud of:

Hi SHannon. Your mom sent me the web link to your work. I'm so incredibly proud to know you. Your pictures make me think of something our minister said... doing God's work, God's way, for God's people. That is what you are following Shannon. I've asked Meghan to set up one of these sitees when she goes off to university in the fall. (She's off to Kelowna) What a great way to keep in touch. Haven't seen Farenheit 9/11 but your thoughts were echoed by Kathryn.
Take care,
Hedy

Name: Jo Riley

Hey Shannon,This is such a cool blog. I just heard about these and have one on my desk top from a Canadian in Japan that I have been meaning to read. Well here is a Riley Ranch update. It is more of an email to you than an appropriate posting but what the hey> Indigo got baptised at reunion by Grandpa. She gets confirmed on Sunday. Shocking News: A gorgeous guy (19 yrs) showed up at church named Jason Sakamoto. He stayed for the twins baby shower and then hung with my kids and I at 2nd beach pool after church and promised to come back this week. I think he has a little crush on Willow. What if there were more young adults at our church? Aghhh.! Freaky. He is in the Judo club of the Vancouver police dept. Maybe he has nice, cute friends he wants to bring to church! Also I have fallen in love with a grain merchant named Carl. Who thought I would ever meet anyone! Not me. Love is very scary but no risk no thrill. You are doing a great job in Detroit. We all prayed for you at reunion. Clifford put a prayer stone in the basket for you. He is so sweet. What a special guy. My Mom and the ladies taught all the kids how to knit at camp and everyone made a square which RoseMarie and Marina crocheted together into a thank you blanket for Clifford for being such a good friend to all the kids. They are all so proud of their squares, and so happy to do something for him. We really had a good time with the Bishop- great guy and funny! I hope you get to spend some time with him some day. I am going to New York in August with my friend/boss: Wendy and I am so excited. Miss you lots. Love you always, jo
